She's a Player!

Well, our long drawn out drama continues... We were hoping to have Tessa's breathing tube out today, but the doctor kept listening throughout the day and felt there wasn't enough of an air leak, meaning her swelling isn't down enough for him to be convinced that she wouldn't need to be re-intubated at some point. NO THANK YOU!!! So, as disappointing as that was, at least we were getting many glipses of the old Tessa back. That girl was hyper as all get out (don't make fun of my dumb phrases!). She would get sedation, but it seemed to have no effect of her. She wanted to play and try to flip over in bed, but then she risked pulling the tube out or possible irritating her trachea. So Noel and I basically took turns (with Mom and Dad this evening) literally holding her down and entertaining her. My sweet girl! Just thought you would like to be encouraged with this video from this afternoon!!!

OK, so of course I'm encouraged based on how she's acting and all that, but having not seen her with all those tubes in person, that just made me so sad! I'm so glad she's getting better so I don't have to see her that way next week! (sorry if that sounds selfish!) I love sweet Tessa and want to hold her the WHOLE time were there, ok?
