"Cute as a button!"

Thankfully Noel and I were able to go home last night, have dinner with Mom and Dad and Meg and Em and sleep in our VERY OWN BED!!! I feel so well rested today. Not really used to this feeling, but I think I like it! Noel, on the other hand, has a cold, so I made his take medicine this morning... hahaha, poor guy has been snoozing in a chair all morning. Oh well, someday he will wake up, I hope!

When we walked in this morning two of Noel's nurse friends said, "Noel, you're gonna hate us when you see her!" Hmmm... I knew it was nothing too bad cause they would have called us. And both of us thought maybe they had the vent out or something... but when we walked in the room, she was all dolled up with a bow in her hair. How adorable! That completely made my day, and it wasn't even 7 a.m. yet!

The nurse had also taken some pictures on her cell phone of Tessa getting her bath. They said it is so strange that she is comletely calm when she is awake, because obviously having a tube down your trachea is NOT comfortable. She is just such a good kid!

Well, we still don't know when the tube will come out, but I think we're totally willing to wait until she is completely ready instead of trying to take it out and ending up back on the vent. It's just the beginning of the day, so I'm sure we will learn a lot later.

Again, please continue to pray for all of us, and thank you for your prayers already!

Dear Jess,

I can't believe all that you and little Tessa have been through this last week! I've been thinking of you guys and praying for you since your Sunday morning post. I hope that Tessa gets to go home soon! You have such a precious little girl. Her pictures are so cute - her personality shines through! : )
