Mini Milestones

Life continues to evolve around having a 2 week old in the house. Honestly, the whole feeding thing has been a bit of a stress on me, but I'm still going to give it my all... I've been emotional thinking about going to formula or for making Noel do too much work and about so many other things. I just want to be a good wife and mom, but there is so much that is new for me, that I feel like I'm failing at times. Luckily my wonderful husband is completely supportive and loves me even though I could cry at the drop of a hat lately.

Anyway, not all is bad. Here are a few more pictures of our little star...

Tessa visited G.G. Swoveland on Sunday, and...

... had her first "bunny ears" photo experience thanks to Papa!

We wanted to see if Tessa has gained any weight, so we put her on a blanket on a cookie sheet on Noel's postage scale... that could be a good story for later in life!

Tummy time with Tessa is actually kind of funny. Her little chicken legs are going constantly, but her top half can't quite keep up with her. She ended up pushing herself over her boppy, but landed on her head. Poor baby! ;0)

Typical stretch pose for Tessa!

Jess -
Hang in there with the nursing. You can do it! Try to get any help you can from a lactation consultant, if possible. They made a huge difference for us. We persevered through tongue-tie, a frenulum clipping (@ 4wks) and then nipple shields for 5.5 months - BUT it was worth it. After all that, and thinking of quitting MANY times, I do enjoy nursing now, and am glad we did stuck to it. It will be worth it for you and Tessa, too. xo, Anna
