Coming Along

The room is coming along...

And so is my belly! (28 weeks and 1 day!)

The funny thing with my belly is that I am still a little lumpy... not the usual nice, round pregnant belly. My guess is that I just have a REALLY deep belly button and it is refusing to budge. Stubborn! But seriously, this is as good as is gets, folks... this is my true bumpy belly, and I'm proud of it! When my patient's find out that I'm expecting, most of them are amazed because I'm not truly sticking out at all, especially with my scrubs on... but I'm actually glad that at 7 months I'm a little small because that will hopefully make the rest of the pregnancy a LITTLE more comfortable. I'll keep my fingers crossed on that one!

Noel has been working hard the past few days on the baby's room again... and it is pretty exciting for us nerdy married folk! I'm pretty happy with all of the colors and I think the stripes turned out perfectly. We still need to add a molding, and I think Noel is going to do some of the trim in green, but that will all come with time... not as much time as I'd like though!

So, to update... my last doctor's appointment was o.k. Not my favorite, because apparently I gained a little too much weight the past month. Yikes! My doctor's comment was, "I want to see you in 3 weeks... and if you don't gain any weight between now and then, that's OK!!!" Very subtle and not at all getting at the point that I'm fattening up a little too quickly. Oh well, I know I'm no the only one, so I don't feel too bad about myself!

Next week is going to be pretty fun, I think. I'm having 2 baby showers within 3 days, and I'm really looking forward to being with all of my close friends and family and seeing all the cute baby things. That part is still exciting, I'm just a little nervous about the actual little person who will be here in a few months. Andee and I talk a lot already, just wait until after April!
